"Well then.....How about water voles?" Echopool said softly, glancing around as she spotted one down the length of the stream, unaware that they were there.

Firepaw grins "I can do that!" he goes into a hunters crouch and slowly makes his way over to the vole, waiting ofr afew seconds before pouncing on it and snapping its neck. He picks it up and looks at Echopool with joy running up to her but slipping on a rock and going into the stream, the vole flying out of his mouth and landing at Echopools feet. Firepaw finnaly pads out of the water, dreanched and unhappy, a frog on his head.

Echopool surpressed a purr of amusement and went over to her apprentice, nudging the frog off of his head. "I think that's enough of a lesson for today." She said with a slight smile. "We wouldn't want you to get a cold. I want you to see Hailstorm when we get back to camp."

Firepaw nods and shakes himself off. He starts heading off to camp in a waddle as he continues to shake the water from his pelt, grumbleing to himself "Mouse brained fish....gross dung filled water...."

Echopool let out a soft purr and picked up the vole that Firepaw left on the ground, following behind him. Tomorrow they could start on rabbits if he was up to it...

Hailstorm trotted toward the stream, taking a deep breath and relaxing as he caught the scents of several herbs. Feverfew, coltsfoot, daisies and allot more.

Mosspaw followed after Hailstorm and Tanglefoot, taking a deep breath. The bubbling gurgle of the stream and the warm scents of the area did wonders to make her relax. Hearing Tanglefoot, she smiled, agreeing completely. "And in Greenleaf as well," she added before looking at Hailstorm. "So what herbs were you looking for exactly?" she asked him.

"Horsetail, mallow, marigold, watermint, feverfew, coltsfoot, and daisies all grow along the stream." Hailstorm replied promptly. "There's a patch of coltsfoot right of here." he meowed, trotting a few paces before stopping to look at a plant.

Mosspaw nodded, listening to the list. "Alright," she mewed. She watched him walk over to the coltsfoot and she followed, studying the plant. It was an average looking yellow-flower, but distinguishable by the broad, flat leaves near the base. She could recognize marigold, daises, and watermint. She remembered watermint because she liked the look of the lavender-colored flower. "Do you want me to look for something else or help pick these?" she asked before her head raised up, her ears swiveling. Her eyes narrowed slightly in confusion. "Someone's coming...and fast," She mewed to Hailstorm.

Runningpaw pelted through the territory, his paws flying across the grass, stones, and sticks. He let the scent of the stream guide him, his ears perked and eyes focused to avoid all obstacles. He timed his breathing with the rhythm of his paws thumping the ground and the movement of his muscles, his tail streaming behind him. The scent of the three cats wafted to him on a gentle breeze and he angled himself in the general direction. His heart hammered, but mostly it was out of worry and confusion about Hallowpaw. What had happened to the she-cat? He forced his paws faster, his long legs carrying him along at a remarkable speed. Almost there....

Hailstorm stiffened. "Something's wrong..." he murmured, moving back towards Mosspaw and Tanglefoot.

Tangelfoot opens his muzzle and takes in a deep breath, letting the smells around him sharpen "Its Runningpaw, Hes upset too, something must have happened." his eyes narrowed. And I just got out of the camp for the first time in ages...

Runningpaw burst from a patch of tall grasses, skidding to a halt as he spotted the group, all staring at him. He was breathing a little heavy from his all out sprint, but he had enough air to deliver the message swiftly. "Hallowpaw just collapsed outside the apprentice's den. I don't know why or how bad it is, but I know she can talk at least a little. Still...she needs help, Hailstorm," he relayed quickly before panting to try and get his breath back.

Mosspaw listened to Runningpaw, and she thought he seemed in pretty good shape for having run all the way to the stream non-stop. 'I guess they don't call him Runningpaw for nothing,'  she though before he finished. She looked at Hailstorm, wondering if he knew. She just collapsed, no signs, no warnings? Just, boom, injured? That seemed odd, even to her. She hoped the other apprentice wasn't too hurt...

Hailstorm listened quietly. "Right. Mosspaw, Runningpaw, and Tanglefoot, I'm heading back as fast as i can, you three take your time. just walk," he said decisively. No need for them to waste their breath when only he was needed. He took off, slow at first, then building speed.

Mosspaw looked over at Hailstorm and gave a small nod, though she didn't exactly like it... Thinking quickly, she hastily snipped off some coltsfoot to bring back to camp, being careful to not destroy the plant. They might as well bring it if it was right here. Then, she quickly followed after Tanglefoot and Runningpaw, trotting quickly.

Runningpaw nodded, getting his breathing under control. He watched as Mosspaw gathered herbs swiftly and confidently, blinking in surprise. How did a Warrior apprentice know how to gather herbs so efficiently and without fear? Shaking the thoughts away, he followed the other apprentice's pace, glancing back at Tanglefoot.

Tangelfoot smiles at Runningpaw before easily jumping over a old fallen tree, landing on all three of his paws perfictly "I've still go it." He chuckles and trots weirdly next to Runningpaw.
