Fly

Angelwing looked at Runningpaw with a bright blue gaze, nodding at his idea. She then looked to Silverpelt. "If you decide to go out, could I tag along?" she asked, having the same pleading look in her eyes as he had a few moments before.

Sparkpaw zeroed in on his mentor, Ashclaw, and trotted over. "Hey, so i was wondering what we were gonna do today?" he asked, dipping his head respectfully.

Hailstorm groaned with boredom as he walked back out of his den. He'd gone in there only to find there was nothing to do. The den was spotless- except for a few spots of old dried poultice on the wall- all the herbs were neatly stacked, and there was fresh moss. He headed for Mosspaw, wondering what she was doing today. "What's up? are you heading out on a patrol today?" he asked her.

Mosspaw nearly jumped out of her fur when Hailstorm's voice sounded next to her. Heart hammering, she looked over. "Oh, sorry Hailstorm! You startled me..." she said. She swallowed, feeling awkward. 'Oh come on! Don't let that mouse-brain get to you! It's perfectly fine to be friends with a Medicine Cat...' she thought before his question registered. "Oh, patrol?" she said, glancing around. "I don't think so...Hollyfire isn't around..." she murmured. She figured she should probably be mroe upset...but she just wasn't.

Duskclaw nodded and licked at his chest fur to settle the nerves that he was feeling at the moment. "The weather is really nice today. It's a sign of better days to come."He told her, shooting a glance back over to her before looking down at his paws again, preoccupied with the patterns on the ground. 

Echopool followed after the patrol, side by side with her apprentice as they made their way into the territory.

"I was just asked to check on you." Riverpaw said calmly and gave a small smile. "Are you hungry for anything?" He asked, his tail flicking patiently back and forth as he waited for her reply.

(They could have had a falling out Kei. I guess that's why he's kind of looking at Briarrose. Maybe they could reconcile later? Something brings them back together maybe.)

Summerpaw gave a longing glance to the apprentices that left and padded over to her mentor, her pale ginger tail dragging in the dust. "What are we doing today?" She asked, her voice hardly above a whisper as her tail curled over her paws.

((Hey, Mirage is there a Silverstep? Or did you mean Silverpelt or Silverflower))  "I'm goona run over and ask the other mentors, back in a sec!" She meowed as she darted over to Ashclaw, "Hey, we're gonna go hunting then do a night ambush practice, would you and Sparkpaw like to come?"

Ashclaw looked at her and shrugged. "Sounds good to me." he meowed, though inside he cringed at the thought of a group practice. Some mentor you'll turn out to be...He thought to himself. Afraid of talking to your own clanmates. Grow up you big kittypet. He scolded himself.

(( Oh, oops. o.o I didn't even realize that. Whoops. And sounds good Scarlett. )) 

Leafblaze was looking around when her gaze found Duskclaw. She blinked and felt her fur bristle slightly as he talked to Briarrose, a pretty she-cat. Forcing her fur to lie flat, she gave a small snort. 'Duskclaw can talk to whoever he likes! See if I care!' she thought stubbornly. Her apprentice's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked down at Summerpaw. "Oh, Summerpaw, sorry. Well, I thought we could focus on hunting today, until tonight, and --" she cut off, noticing her apprentice's tail dragging. "Summerpaw, is everything alright?" she asked softly, unsure of how she was feeling.

Silverpelt looked at Runningpaw, the smallest hint of fear in his eyes. He still wasn't used to having an apprentice, he himself being made a warrior not too long ago. "I ah...suppose we can go hunting?" he said, looking at Runningpaw. He then glanced over at Angelwing, gaze returning to normal. "You can come too, of course," he said to her.

Softstep watched her brother as she finished grooming, her whiskers twitching in amusement. She settled down in a patch of sunlight, curling her paws underneath herself.

"Alright, would you like to go with grasswhisker or to the stream? Oh, i gotta go,  just go werever you want."  Windflight then bounded over to Leafblaze, "Hey, would you and Summerpaw like to go hunting then do a night ambush practice?"

Angelwing grinned. "Great, where to?" she asked, getting up and looking towards the entrance, and then back to Silverpelt.

Ashclaw looked around, feeling severely out of place. What had the leader been thinking? Yes, let's make Ashclaw a mentor, great idea. Not. Ashclaw sighed and looked at Sparkpaw. "Well, lets go then." he said after clearing his throat. "There's already too many cats on the patrols, so I think it'd be best if we go to the training grove first." he added, hoping he sounded sure of himself, which in total honesty, he wasn't.

(Gah, I meant Silverpelt xD And I'll have Briarrose turn Duskclaw down, eventually. When she's done 'experimenting')

Curlyfur glanced up at Riverpaw, then sighed and shoved past him. "Go train or something...." she grumbled, trodding unsteadily over to the fresh-kill pile. "Thinking I'm too old to grab my own food...." With a huff she settled down near the pile with a stringy mouse, tearing into it with suprising vigor for one of her age.

Briarrose turned her brilliant gaze on to the tom, noticing with interest his tense posture. Huh. Wierd. Listening politely, she felt a small flash of irritation. Seriously? The weather? That's all he can talk about? I wonder... she thought, tail twitching slightly in suppressed amusement. Leaning forward so her face seemed barely an inch away from his own, the elegant seal point she-cat murmered, "Is something bothering you, Duskclaw?" Her voice as she said his name held a slightly sultry manner, and she held her head slightly lower than normal so she looked up at him.

Leafblaze looked over as Windflight approached and she smiled. "I was just going to take her out, actually."she said, then glanced back at Summerpaw. She hadn't gotten an answer yet. "The Oak Savannah should be good, if Grasswhisker took the others to the Stream," she mewed. She remembered with a pang when her and Duskclaw would visit the stream. She couldn't help her eyes from flicking over and it took everything she had not to growl out loud. 'Little more than talking, huh?' she thought, swallowing her anger. 'If it doesn't bother him, then it shouldn't bother me..." Leafblaze suddenly really wanted to get out of camp, but the fact that her apprentice might be bothered by something held her back.

Runningpaw flicked an ear. "Alright...umm...hunting. Thanks," he said, bobbing his head up and down while shuffling his paws.

Sparkpaw nodded, excited. "That sounds great! I'm starved and there's no way i'm gonna eat till there's enough food for everyone!" he meowed, tail waving as his energy overflowed.

Hailstorm nodded. "Yeah, i was hoping to go out with a patrol, but that'll leave very few here to gaurd the camp, so i'll stay till a patrol to comes back, then i'll go out and check on herbs." he looked at the apprentice. "You're welcome to come along if you mentor says you can. Tanglefoot will come to i think. how's everything going with the other apprentices?" he asked, remembering when she was a kit and was having trouble with her siblings.

Mosspaw felt her mood lift a little at the prospect of working with Hailstorm. "Alright, thanks! I'll see if I can," she said with a sincere smile. Then it faultered as she thought of Springpaw and her fur heated again. "O-oh... I mean, I guess it's good," she mewed with a shrug. "Yeah...it's good," she repeated. It sure was better than when she was younger...

Thistlefrost stretched, enjoying the warmth of Newleaf. His stormy, silver eyes scanned the clearing. His eyes zeroed in on Briarrose and Duskclaw. He raised one brow, smirking. Interesting...especially with the prickly Leafblaze across from them. He let uout a small chuckle, rolling his eyes.

"Alright, let's go then. I'll teach you some moves in the training area." He flashed Angelwing a smile as he rose to his paws. His smile quickly faltered as he led them out, his gaze anxious. He was a decent hunter, but when it came to fighting...although he would never admit it, he was not that great.

Runningpaw nodded, feeling a little better. He preferred fighting over hunting, but only by a small margin. He followed suit, rising up to his paws. He followed after, trailing just behind his mentor as they made their way to the training area.
