Reed nodded to her mentor, her eyes slightly on Death as she listened and waited for Forever's instructions on what she should do for her. It was easy to see that for just a couple seconds that she was distracted, thinking about something else that was more important to her at that moment in time. She quickly hid it though as she turned back to Forever, ready for anything that she threw at her.

Now that the fighting was over, Aigan's muscles visibly relaxed. He fell silently into a sit, fading back into his usual watchful and silent self.

"Correct." Necromancer told Insanity before turning to the two she-cats. "Well done, both of you. He said, giving a slight smile, though it was a cold one. "Second riddle: Say my name and I disappear. What am I?"

Mirror perked up. "Really?" she meowed, though it was mostly rhetorical. "You're an amazing fighter, if you ever have some spare time, i would love to learn a few moves from one of the best there is." She said tentively, very aware how dangerous Devileyes was.

Nevermore nodded to Kaiyuki, padding over to her. "Very good, indeed." he said, flicking her with his tail. He then dipped his head in greeting to Mirage. "I am Nevermore, an assassin of the the Three Demons." he looked her up and down. "With how well you fought, i would be surprised if you didn't join me in that rank shortly." he paused. "The both of you."

Forever yawned, fiegning boredom. "Paint an emotion on that pretty little blank face of yours, whatever you like."

Kaiyuki nodded to her mentor, pride flaring briefly in her eyes before she controlled her mask. When he mentioned becoming a full assassin, she gave a small smile. "Thank you, Nevermore," she mewed, her voice calm and collected, but her eyes were bright.

The large white tom thought quickly. Looking at the nature of the first riddle, the second is most likely the same. He allowed himself a small smile as the answer dawned on him. "Silence," he answered quietly.

Devileyes glanced down at Mirror again, a small glimmer of amusement lighting her eyes. "So you want to be a fighter, eh?" she asked, twitching an ar as she remembered her own kithood. "Well, I can probably find some time between lazing around and eating." She sent the camp a scathing look-over, sarcasm layed thick in her voice. "Just tell me when you want to try something out."

"I am Mirage, former assasin of the Mountainhold Alliance." The calico she-cat dipped her head slightly, violet eyes never leaving Nevermore's. "I would be honored to serve as an assasin next to you, and hopefully soon, you," she added to Kaiyuki, slight warmth and respect in her her strange eyes.

Shadowseer chuckled lightly, nodding in agreement. "You are right there. That's why our little group has so much variance. Assasins are quick, but once they get caught they're easy to dispose of. Fighters are deadly in combat, even if they tend not to move as quickly or silently." Flicking his tail once, the tom noted Rose's unease, or at least wariness around him, and adjusted his act slightly. "So, Rose, what are you hoping to help us with here? Do you have any sort of fighting history, or assasin, or spy?"

Kaiyuki's ears flicked as she heard the name of the Mountainhold Alliance. She'd never heard of it, so she must be form a fair distance away, perking up her curiousity about this strange she-cat. She nodded her head back as Mirage adressed her. "I'm Kaiyuki, but most people just call me Kai," she said, formaly introducing herself.

Rose nodded trying to stifle her wariness. If she was going to be a part of this group, she couldn't tiptoe fearfully around the Demons at every waking moment. Her demeanor changed as she finally resolved herself, giving her a cooler, calmer, and even more graceful appearance for her younger age. "I really will go wherever you all deem best for me, but I guess I have some history in fighting and spy work..." she mewed. "It isn't much, but after our parents death, Slate and I sought out the murderers. They were a small band, but the largest in the area, and they weren't anything like this..." she said, her tail sweeping as she took in the rogues. "The only thing holding them together was their leader. So, I talked them into letting me join... I watched their ways, learned their patterns...Then one day, they just seemed to know I wasn't really one of them... I woke up in the night to hear them creeping up on me..." she said, the memory washing over her. The fools...had they just walked normally, it wouldn't have been nearly as suspicious... "I had to fight my way out, and I'll admit, if I hadn't known the tricks and pathways of the place, I never would've made it out. I escaped and found Slate, and we left, our cover blown." Rose remembered bursting through some ferns to the surprised face of her brother. She must've really shocked him, because he just stared at her like he'd seen a ghost. "That was the night I knew that I was never going to be weak like that again, having to run from my own home..." she mewed, eyes narrowing. She wanted to learn, to grow, to be strong and feared by her enemies...

Slate finally pushed himself to his paws and limped heavily towards Devileyes. Seeing how she wasn't eating the kitten or anything, he hovered, unsure if he should adress her...

"Correct." Necromancer meowed evenly, turning his attention to the raven that landed near him. " Thank you very much. May the wind be in your favor." he told it. The bird flew away, leaving the herbs behind. "The third riddle is this; what happens when you drop a yellow stone into a purple stream?" he asked Insanity, turning his blue eyes back to the cat.

Mirror dipped her head respectfully. "Thank you very much." she said, barely managing to hold in her excitment. "I'll be ready whenever you are." She smiled brightly, then her gray eyes narrowed slightly as she flicked them toward Slate.

Nevermore's green eyes flashed. "I'm interested to see how much your skillset differs from ours. Usually different groups of cats have different training techniques." he said evenly. (it would be cute if Nevermore fell for Mirage XD)

(Hmmmm, maybe ;) The question is, however, will Mirage fall for him?)

Insanity blinked in surprise, hesitating slightly. His simply unimaginative mind couldn't grasp the idea of a purple stream. Where has this cat been? He instead turned his thoughts to just a normal stream with a normal rock. When a stone hits the water, it splashes, but.... He knew this question could decide his fate, but the large white tom hadn't the faintest clue of any deep meaning it could have. "A splash," he finally answered.

Devileyes smiled slightly at the young cat's euthuisiasim(sp, too lazy to look it up xD), then pricked her ears as she heard the approaching cat. Lifting her head, the black Demon turned her brilliant, fiery eyes on Slate, and just watched him, completely silent, waiting.

The calico cat cocked her head slightly to the side, almost a challenge in her posture as she regarded the Assasin. "It would be interesting, wouldn't it?" She couldn't help but feel a small feeling of amusement. Did every cat here feel the need to be a sculpture?

Shadowseer was silent while Rose talked, no feelings of sympathy in his eyes during her story. A spy, eh? "How long did you escape notice?" the Demon asked curiously, but his mind was on other things. As he waited, he discreetly looked her up and down, mind traveling to the idea he and Necromancer had discussed before. "Oh, and how old are you?" he added.

Rose thought back, adding up the time she'd spent with the pitiful group who were really nothing but an undisciplined bunch of rabble. "I was with the group a little over three moons..." she mewed, flicking her tail, still stupified about the day that they'd caught her. She thought - no, she knew - that she hadn't slipped up... They shouldn't have known, had given them no reason to... She looked up at him as he asked his second question, her eyes curious. "15 moons..." she answered, not sure why that would interest Shadowseer.

Slate resisted the urge to shuffle his paws as Devileye's piercing gaze tore through him, like she could see his very soul. Swallowing and summoning up his courage, he mewed, "I was curious if you'd be willing to teach me some things if you'd have the time, as well..." he said, getting straight to the point. He doubted that he could've made it if he didn't just jump right in. "You are by far the most talented, skilled, and deadly fighter I've seen...." he added with a dip of his head. Flattery, although it was true, might help....

Kaiyuki listened and her tail tip flicked at the slight challenge in Mirage's voice. The edge of her mouth quirked up in a small curve with the slightest beginnings of a grin. Kai might learn to like this other she-cat...

Necromancer nodded slowly. "Good, very good." he meowed. "I've had some cats get stumped by that last one. They had immense inteligence, but when it came down to plain old common sense and siple logic, the failed." the next words he spoke not louder, but they still echoed stronger and wear easily heard by the other cats. "Welcome to the Pheonix Rogues."

Nevermore nodded to Mirage, then stood. "If you'll excuse me." he meowed to both of them, though he knew he could have just gotten up and left. He padded lightly over to Shadowseer and paused, unwilling to interupt his conversation.

Mirror looked Slate up and down, then sat up as tall as she could. "Shouldn't take care of those cuts?" she asked, trying to sound important, but keeping her voice even and neutral at the same time, like her father. "Father sent a raven to get what you would need to patch yourself up." she stared as blankly as she could at the tom, though it was obvious she thought herself very important, and it showed on her adorable face.

Slate glanced over at the young kit, Mirror, his eyes confused. Father sent a raven? He looked at her for any signs of a joke, not understanding. Was she really trying to get him to believe that her father, whoever that was, had sent an actual raven somewhere? The three demons seemed like just normal cats to him, albeit very powerful, very deadly, very skilled cats... Could they really control ravens? "I will later," he mewed, although he had no idea what to do with the herbs... He wasn't about to admit it to this kit who had an air of self-importance all around her.

Insanity dipped his head in thanks, relaxing visibly at the approval. Still not meeting his new leader's eyes, the white tom waited nervously, unsure if he was dismissed.

Shadowseer watched Rose as she spoke, noting the conflict in her posture and movements. 15 moons... She looked slightly older. This might be able to work. Catching sight of Nevermore from the corner of his eye, the Demon turned to the assasin. "Why don't you join us, Nevermore?" he invited, "I was just speaking to this lovely young she-cat. Rose told me that she is was a spy." Turning his head, the black tom told the cream colored cat, "This is Nevermore, one of my assasins."

Mirage nodded to Nevermore as he left, then turned slightly to face Kaiyuki. "So, how did you get here?" the calico Assasin asked curiously, violet eyes flickering with gentle curiousity, "And how did you end up stuck with a rock like him to teach you?"

Devileyes kept her eyes trained on Slate as he and Mirror exchanged words, measuring him up. The stocky she-cat felt a small bit of amusement at the kit's attitude. She would turn out just like her father, huh? Well, being creepy has its benefits. "Well, I would hope I am deadly." the Demon mewed dryly, "I have killed more cats than I care to remember." She stood up, eyes never leaving the younger tom. Even though her frame seemed large and muscular, the cat was slightly shorter than the tom, but made up for it with her air of superiority. "Maybe. Not now. It is no use training a half-dead cat. Tomorrow I can teach you both." At last her gaze broke from Slate to turn to Mirror, curious as to how she will turn out. "What did you say your name was again?"

Kai looked over at Mirage and she sat down, settling her tail over her paws. "Well, I really have always been in this city, just in a different area," she mewed. "I was left there when my parents took my sister to find the Clan. I guess they assumed I'd be weak or something. Not that it matters...I'd rather be here anyways. I was doing fine on my own, but I knew I'd do even better if I were let into the Solstice Rogues," she mewed. She wasn't arrogant about what she said, merely stating facts. "I learned that while I may have been strong enough to survive in the city, these cats here are a whole different level of powerful. Even what you call a 'rock'," she mewed, her voice holding a tinge of amusement. "Nevermore may not exactly be an emotional cat in any sense of the word, but I wouldn't want any other mentor. He knows his stuff and he's a good teacher. If I can become an assassin like him, I'll be satisfied," she said with a small nod. The affection and admiration in her voice was clear, but there was nothing romantic about it. If anything, Nevermore was more a father-figure or close friend to Kaiyuki.

Rose looked at Nevmore and nodded respectfully to the assassin. Rose hadn't really said she was a spy, but in a sense, she figured she could be considered one. Although why it would matter to this assassin, she wasn't sure... "Hello, Nevermore, sir," she mewed in acknowledgement.

Slate nodded to Devileyes, excitement and ambition sparking in his eyes. He'd be taught by a demon! He'd better heal himself though, so he'd be ready for tomorrow... (( And I don't think Devileyes was talking to him, but if she was, pretend he said that his name was Slate. xD ))

Reed gave a small smile to her mentor and closed her eyes, centerering on the feeling that she was going to project on her face. Deciding for a week and emotional approach, she opened her eyes. Her eyes had taken a glassy look, her eyes glancing down at the ground, fear showing throughout her face. She stumbled a bit, backing away slightly, fear showing throughout.

(You insut my poor evil Nevermore, Mirage.) Nevermore nodded to Rose before adressing Shadowseer. "I would like to speak with you about Kai when you have a chance." then he turned his attention back to the younger she-cat. "Nevermore will do just fine. 'Sir' is a respectable name i would

expect those code-following clanners or a virtuous kittypet to be called by. I am neither respectable or code-following or virtuous, so 'sir' is a title ill-suited for me." he told her, sizing her up as he talked. "What kind of spy work did you do exactly? Hidden in the shadows and gathering information without being seen or getting into a group and playing along till you know what you need to know?"

"Mirror." the kit meowed, turning her grey eyes back to Devileyes. The way she held herself changed slightly when she adressed the demon. It went from self important to respectful and a little more humble.

"I have yet  to learn how to eat the soul of a cat just by looking them in the eye." Necromancer said evenly, slightly amused by Insanity's behavoir.

Forever nodded. "Not bad, widen the eyes a little bit more, put your ears back just a touch, and creep and cower a little more when you walk and stand, like so." Forever's blue eyes went wide and glassy, her proud stance shrunk to a little more then a cower, her ears went back , her fur fluffed up a little, and when she moved she was light and skittish looking, but at the same time clumsy.

Rose looked at Nevermore and nodded, her ear flicking in a satisfied manner. She'd rather not have to adress everyone with such meaningless titles of sir, or ma'am. But in the group she'd infiltrated, that had been the way of things. "I'll make sure to remember that, Nevermore," she mewed with another small nod before answering his question. "And I infiltrated a group to gather information. I was with the group for a little over three moons, posing as an average fighter of the group," Rose informed the assassin. She didn't play the weak card because that drew too much attention. Yes, it lowered the threat factor, but as a spy, she believed it was better to just become so ordinarily average that you were practically forgotten.

"Interesting." Nevermore replied, though his face was just as perfectly blank as normal. "By posing as normal, you didn't draw attention to yourself, so you were generally forgotten." he said. "My sister," he flicked his tai at Forever. "Has done several jobs like that before. Though she dislikes playing the average card because she can't pull off average, she likes pulling attention to herself to much." he said, a tiny hint of affection creeping into his voice. His sister was the only thing in the world that he loved.

Rose listened and gave a small nod at his assessment. That had been her overall goal, yes. Hearing the slight affection in his voice, she could tell that he held his sister close to him. She didn't comment, because she herself had no idea who Forever was...
