Necromancer glanced over at Rose, then at Mirror. So Shadowseer might have his she-cat to playact after all. "Mirror, are your siblings up yet?" he asked his kit. Mirror looked at Necromancer and shrugged. "I don't think so, Father." she mewed. Nevermore heard Necromancer's and Mirror's exchange, then glanced at where the other kits normally slept. "I suspect those kits will be legends when they're older. All three are horribly ambitious, they'll either grow up as a close-knit team, or kill each other." he said to rose, still watching the kits.

Shadowseer watched the two cats beside him converse, bright curiousity in his green eyes. "If you will excuse me," he mewed with a slight dip of his head. As soon as his back was turned, everything about the black tom changed. His eyes turned into stones and his posture stiffened to one of royalty. The Demon stalked over to the other two leaders, casting Insanity a cold look that clearly said 'go away'. The feline sat down, eyes trained on Necromancer. (Do you mean Solstice of Phoenix? xD)Mirage listened to the other cats' story, an ear flicking in acknowledgement. "I see," she murmered, glancing around her new home. "I have never really lived in a city. This should be different." Devileyes glanced at Slate still there, then growled, "Well, the herbs are back there. Don't just sit here!" she flicked her tail in Necromancer's direction, then glanced over as Shadowseer approached. Insanity blinked in suprise at Necromancer's comment, then stiffened slightly at Shadowseer's cold glare. "Thank you very much," the white tom mewed quietly, then padded over to Slate. "If you need a little help with the herbs, I know a thing or two," the large tom offered.

Rose looked over at the kits and looked at them. Seeing Mirror beside Necromancer, she noticed the resemblance and put two-and-two together. "If they really are one of the Demon's kits, as it appears they are, then it seems that they would have quite the future ahead of them," she replied with a small nod. She looked at Shadowseer and watched him walk over to the others. Slate nearly jumped at Devileye's growl and nodded, quickly retreating away from the Demon. He looked over as Insanity spoke and he curled his lip, ready for a stinging retort. For once, though, his mind beat his mouth and he thought better of it. He didn't know a thing about herbs, so he just gave a curt nod and limped over to the herbs. Shatter made her way towards Mirror and Necromancer, hearing mention of her and her other siblings. She had stayed out of the picture with the new cats and watched them silently from afar. "I am, Father," she mewed, her voice quiet like the wind as she walked over and to his side. It was clear that the little black she-kit was not going to ever be loud and brash. Her face was much too solemn for her young age...

Nevermore sighed inwardly. He had wanted to talk to Shadowseer about setting up an assessment for Kaiyuki, but he'd have to talk later. "Yes. I think all three of them are hoping to be the next Demons, but they have no idea how hard getting there is going to be." He stood. "Anyway, i'll introduce you to my sister, Forever." he smiled inwardly when he saw what a sniveling coward Forever looked like at the moment. "I do believe she's teaching her apprentice a little acting." he said as he started towards her. Necromancer graced his two she-kits with one of his rare, genuine smiles. "So you are, Shatter." he meowed. he looked at Shadowseer, presuming he wanted to talk and that was why the Demon scared off Slate and Insanity. He also assumed they'd be talking about a little spy mission, which involved the kits. He knew if they let the she-kits listen, it could have it's benefits. but if they knew too much it could cause problems. "Girls, how about you go hunting or get someone to teach you a little fighting or acting or another useful skill. The three of us have some business to discuss." He flicked both his kits with his tail, making sure they knew he wasn't rudely chasing them off. "Yes, father." Mirror said with a dip of her head, turning and moving a few paces away before talking to Shatter. "What do you want to do?" she asked.

Shatter looked up at her father and nodded to him. She followed her sister a couple steps away and looked at her as she spoke. 'Listen to what they're planning...' she thought, but Necromancer had made it clear that they weren't to be listening, and she would obey her father's wishes. "Want to try hunting?" she asked Mirror with a flick of her tail. "As a pair, we might be able to catch something," she mewed. Rose looked at Nevermore and nodded. She stood up and followed after the Assassin. Seeing Forever, she wondered how in the world such a cowardly she-cat could be a part of the Phoenix Rogues before Nevermore spoke. Immediately, her interest peaked. If the Demons were interested in her being a spy, as it seemed they were, acting could be a critical asset. And this she-cat was clearly a phenomonal actress. Even though Rose knew she was acting, it was only because Nevermore had pointed it out, and it was still hard to believe that Forever was acting.

Nevermore meowed as he approached Forever. "Forever, this is Rose. Rose, this is my sister Forever." he decided to forgo their full titles for now, saying them during and introduction could be rather tiring. Forever straightened and dropped the act, her face a blank mask as she looked the cat up and down. "Ah yez." he meowed, accenting her voice just for the fun of it. "I likez how you thinkz, very outside ze box. You are lucky Devileyez didn't shred your pelt, no?" she laughed, then switched to her normal voice. "I like cats who can use they're heads instead of their muscle when they know they're outmatched." she was reffering to how Rose took the twoleg pelt and used it to help that other cat, Sleet or something. Mirror nodded. "Right." then she frowned. "Everyone is talking and being loud, so wouldn't the rides all holed up? Though he didn't say we had to stay here and hunt..." he meowed, looking at the alley exit. "It would be easy enough to get something from just outside camp."

Rose blinked in surprise as Forever spoke in an odd accent. She had to focus through the shock to understand her. How could she have an accent and Nevermore not? Then, suddenly, it was gone and she was speaking normally. Rose blined her green eyes, a small smile crossing her face. How...unique. She gave a small nod in acknowledgement to the praise. "Thank you, Forever," she mewed with a flick of her tail tip. "It seems that you yourself have quite the 'out of the box' talents," she added, referring to her acting and accents. "I found Nevermore hard to believe when he said you were acting," she admitted, curious about this she-cat.

Devileyes watched the other two Demons with faintly curious eyes. She had heard bits and pieces of the plan, and was excited at the thought of after all Clan secrets are discovered. Certain bloodshed. "I was just talking to that young she-cat," Shadowseer murmered quietly to the other two, green eyes blank as he watched Rose. "She may fit into the plan perfectly. She's younger than she looks, but is old enough to have kitted a while ago." The lighter black tom wrapped his tail around his paws as a thoughtful light passes through his stare. "If we go through with this, we should get her well aquainted with one of your kits and hope she is a fast learner." Insanity pawed through the herbs a sorted out one by his faint knowledge of plants. "Poppy seeds... Eat these for any pain," he directed, pushing a few of the seeds over to the tom. The large white cat watched the younger cat silently from the corner of a pale blue eye as he searched, and had barely pushed some marigold into Slate's direction. "Chew and apply to your wounds." Although he was outwardly calm, Insanity was starting to get fed up with the attitude, causing the fur on his neck to stand.(I think Insanity should reveal his strength fairly soon)

Necromancer nodded. "Yes. Was the idea to just send one kit with her?" he asked shortly, wanting to let Shadowseer speak his plan completely. Forever cocked her head and smiled. "Well yes, i am quite good." she said, waving her tail grandly. "Of course I've worked at it for a long time. I also pick up on new things very quickly when it applies to my acting. I met this cat once, Wheatly, with the most interesting accent." after she said the name, she began to talk in his accent. "I of course begged him to keep talking and i worked on imitating his accent. Oh, and i am wonderfully good at rememberings names and other odd information about cats." she then reverted back to her normal voice. "Now there was this cat i met once, very odd. He was a kittypet with this insanely white long pelt and a flat smooshed face and his name was Prince Tiguchian Romarno Vrentig the Third. To say the least he was pompous, rude, and had very good taste." she finished, nodded her head as she remembered. Nevermore snorted. "I remember that jerk, he kept hitting on you." and Silence. He finally ticked her off enough that she taught him a lesson. He remembered it all. That had been one of the last adventures they'd had with Silence. Mirror flicked her ear at her sister. "Where do you want to hunt?" she asked Shatter.

Shadowseer closed his eyes until only a glowing slit of green showed as he pictured everything in his mind. "Her mate left her as soon as she kitted. She's young, and didn't know what to do when one of her kits caught mild greencough, and it died." His tail flicked once, the only sign that he liked what he saw in his head. "She's young and scared, the kit has just weaned. Before she enters their territory she'll need to eat a little parsely as an excuse for the lack of milk." The Demon opened his eyes and continued his assesment of Rose. "She must act nervous, and needs to get to know one of the kits like its her own. We need to choose the kit carefully, one that won't stray from what we've taught it."

Rose smiled as she listened to the siblings talk. She was interested in the shifting accents -- she'd never heard or seen anything like it before. And Forever seemed like a much more outgoing cat than Nevermore, although he seemed a little more open talking to his sister. "Well, that is quite the pompous name in and of itself!" she remarked with another smile. "Could you imagine having to say that all the time? I might just get smug from being able to pronounce it correctly," she said, starting to relax. She drew herself up, her chest fur fluffing out and an arrogant gleam entering her eyes. She raised her voice up a pitch to give it a more 'stuck-up' air to it. "I'm Prince Rosaria Mergensmerch Forgenbacher the Seventh, and it must be quite the pleasure to meet me..." she mewed, trying to immitatee the odd accent and quite poorly. But her 'regal' air wasn't too bad, although the horrendous name was nothing more than random sounds thrown together, which was how the name Forever had said sounded to her. Shatter looked at Mirror, a small, humorless smile crossing her face. "Indeed..." she replied... "We might just be able to get something from outside..." she mewed, looking at her sister. If Mirror was willing to go, then so was Shatter. Slate lapped up the small seeds, but grimaced since the change wasn't immediate. "Pain is still there..." he grumbled, but moved on to the next herb. He eyed it distastefully, but began to chew it out. As he moved to rub it onto one of his larger wounds, he winced, his eyes glaring at Insanity. "Ow!" he said with enunciation to get his point across. "That stings! I thought this was supposed to help, you old fool!" he growled angrily. His pride had been hurt more than any pain the wounds could've brought, and having to rely on Insanity right after didn't do anything to help.

Necromancer nodded. "You can watch them over the next few days till you decide on one that is well suited for the job you have. Rose may even make friends with one of them on her own." he said. He didn't want to get involved with the picking of the kit who would go, he knew it would make his kits feel resentful if their father seemed to favor one more then the others. Mirror returned Shatter's smile. "Yes." she meowed. "we should be careful as we go out though, someone may think it's to dangerous for a couple of kits- even Necromancer's kits- and try to stop us." Forever nodded. "Not bad." She meowed, speaking in the english accent again so as Rose might be able to get it better. "At least, for a low life like you." she puffed herself up, moving to her own pomous act. "Now one must narrow her eyes and looked down her nose at everyone and act like they're far to good to be in their company. If you accompany that with some grand sweeps of the tail, it rather looked quite convincing." Just to prove her point, she swept her tail grandly.

Rose drank in what Forever was saying, clearly listening to the she-cat. She tried to concentrate on the accent, but it was foreign on her tongue and was odd. As Forever's act continued, Rose knew that if she didn't know Forever was acting, her own fur would be fluffed up, but in indignation at the rude, snobbish cat. Instead, she fluffed up her fur and raised her head, drawing her paws in close, as if being close to forever was going to make her pelt dirty. She put on a scowl and let her gaze rake forever. "Humph," she mewed. "As if I'd need to learn from the likes of you!" she mewed, giving the accent another attempt. As she spoke, she swept her tail, trying to look as pompous as she possibly could. Shatter nodded, a small scowl plastering her face. Even though she knew they were probably right to look down on her, it didn't mean she had to like it. Her father was a powerful Demon, the most powerful in her eyes, and she planned to be just like him. "Well, we'd better stick to the shadows and sides then, and act as normal as possible. Just walk. Don't sneak," she mewed. Sneaking, if noticed, drew immediate attention and kept a person's interest. Walking normally, however, did not, or at least not as much.

Devileyes listened intently to the conversation, tail flicking once. As long as she got to kill someone, the black she-cat didn't really care how it worked out. (Who RPs Nox?) Shadowseer blinked slowly in acceptance, watching the two she-kits with faint interest. He already knew that their brother wouldn't work out. Something about that little tom worried the Demon as to his future. The average sized tom sighed. Both Shatter and Mirror were a bit too much like their father. They may not be able to pose as well as an innocent kit as he hoped. The large, white tom paused through his sorting, not a single whisker even twitching as he struggled to control that part of him that cried for blood and vengence for the insults. His body started to quiver as Insanity began to lose the internal battle, truely losing himself to his namesake. A wave of black enveloped his mind, and the tom that turned to face Slate was a different cat. Nothing had changed in his appearence except for his pale eyes. They were empty, cold, and unforgiving. " 'Old fool?" the older cat rasped, a humorless laugh accenting his voice. " 'Old fool'? " Insanity slowly stepped up to Slate until they were nose to nose and murmered softly, "Say that again."

Member Posts: 186 | Aigan's peppered ears flicked towards Insanity and the new, crippled tom, he couldn't quite remember his name. A muddy eye opened to a slit from where he was dozing atop a wooden crate, and an evil smile curled his lips. He sat up, fully acute and honed-in on the pair of toms, knowing what would come next. He had seen Insanity's...episodes numerous times, and pairing that with this bitter, sharp-tongued newcomer...

(Scarlett plays Nox) Forever grinned. "Wonderful!" she meowed. "Very good. That accent is nearly just right, keep at it and it'll be great!" she curled her tail around her paws and her blue eyes danced with light. "You must have had prectice acting a little before, that or your an acting prodigy." she personally thought it was the first, but it was possible it was the second. Nevermore flicked his ear as he caught Insanity's words. He turned, curious. The tom seemed different now, much colder and crueler. He watched them intently with his icy green eyes, absolutly no emotion showing. Necromancer nodded. "If this kit has watched her sibling die, then it could have had a very horrible effect on her." He said, knowing that kits were thought to be adorable innocent and sweet, and he knew very well his kits did not fit the 'innocent and sweet' part. Mirror felt her pelt prickle. Someone was watching her. They couldn't get away if they were being watched, so she quickly formulated a plan. "You're it!" she said loudly, jabbing Shatter lightly with her paw before running a little closer to the entrance of the alley and darting into the shadows, hiding amongst some old boxes. With luck, Shatter would catch on an and they could slowly work they're way closer to the exit while playing tag. She also hoped whoever was watching would lose interest or something else would catch their attention. Besides, tag was a game were she could easily work on her shadow-moving skills, silent moving, and quick thinking.

Copper sat next to his brother, Bracken, silently. Bracken grunted and laid down on the cold ground, yawning and laying his head on his paws.

Rose grinned at the praise and she dipped her head in response. "Well, I've infiltrated a camp, and I had to do some acting when I told my background story. I had to act distraught and lost and confused. Then, of course, some acting here and there. Like being friendly and whatnot, so I've had some practice," she said, referring to her time spent with the band that had killed her parents. Slate glared at Insanity, but then something changed. He swallowed loudly as suddenly Insanity was no longer that calm tom who had been nothing but patient. Since Slate was injured, he figured that Insanity really wouldn't do something to hurt him. Right? For all his bravado, Slate decided to take the neutral path. "Actually, the herbs do seem to be working. I think I'm done here," he mewed, standing up. Time to get away from this strange, dangerous cat.

Forever nodded. "I''ve done quite a bit of that myself." Forever said, turning the convorsation back to herself. "I've played kittypets, fighters, sniveling cowards, sweet and innocents, you name it and i've probably done it." she flicked her ears in such a way it seemed to fully compensate for tossing her head.

Rose listened to the list and grinned. "Wow...I guess you really have gotten your practice," she mewed, her voice clearly impressed. This she-cat had a unique talent. It could help in more than just recon. It could help in just daily activities, and even fighting. Make your opponent thing your a weak, frightened coward, and they underestimate you...
